Replication package for: "Optimal climate policy with demographic transitions"

This replication package accompanies the article “Optimal Climate Policy with Demographic Transitions” by Elisa Belfiori and Manuel Macera, forthcoming in The Economic Journal (2025). The paper develops an overlapping-generations climate-economy model that integrates demographic change into optimal climate policy analysis. It shows how population growth and ageing shape social discounting, the social cost of carbon, and temperature outcomes.

The replication package contains all data, MATLAB code, and documentation required to reproduce the results, figures, and tables reported in the published article.
