In situ X-ray computed tomography on sodium-ion battery alloying anodes

Sodium-ion batteries have attracted attention as a cheap and sustainable complementary technology to lithium-ion batteries. Here, we probe the links between microstructure and atomic structure in antimony carbon nanocomposites as anode materials using pair distribution function tomography, in order to understand the origins in improvements in cycle life gained by forming nanocomposites.
