Newcastle University Dove Time Series WP2 and Horizontal WP3

Zooplankton (predominantly haloplankton) per metre3 data from 1972 - 2008; 55.116667, -1.33333; collected monthly weather permitting via a WP3 net towed horizontally for 10 minutes at a depth of ~25m, processing consisted of subsampling using a Folsom splitter or Huntsman techniques up to 1988, to a visually appropriate fraction for WP3 and a stempel pipette for WP2 net samples: towed vertically 4 times and all zooplankton from subsample identified to species where possible. The abundance of each taxon was derived, according to its size, from either the WP2 or the WP3 net.
