Road files for all continental SSA countries

GeoPackage (.gpkg extension) files for country roads of all continental Sub-Saharan African countries (44) as of September 2025. The query was done through the OSMnx python package (Boeing, G. (2025). Modeling and Analyzing Urban Networks and Amenities with OSMnx. Geographical Analysis 57 (4), 567-577. doi:10.1111/gean.70009), which sources and downloads features from OpenStreetMap. The query specifically sourced the following road types: motorway, motorway link, trunk, trunk link, primary, primary link, secondary, secondary link, tertiary, and tertiary link. These files can be used to support open-data and geospatial based modelling tools such as OnSSET and OnStove, and any other open-data modelling or analysis efforts.
