We plan to generated high-coverage illumina sequence data from a collection of 120 Leishmania donovani group lines, representing most of the geographical and genetic diversity of the group. These data will allow the first genome-wide analysis of the diversity and evolution of this group, and will inform future, more detailed studies of Leishmania epidemiology.
