The Water Framework Directive (WFD) sets out the basic principles of a sustainable water policy. Its purpose is to establish a framework for the protection of inland surface waters, transitional waters, coastal waters and groundwater. The WFD aims to achieve good water status.
The water body is the basic territorial division of aquatic environments intended to be the unit of assessment of the WFD.

This data concerns the Master plan for the development and management of water 2022-2027 (SDAGE) of the Seine-Normandy basin. It provides for all water bodies in the basin the status of the water body and the objectives assigned to it in the SDAGE 2022-2027.
