Determination of genotoxicity point-of-departure of N-Nitrosodimethylamine using PECC-Seq

N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) is a probable human carcinogen and has raised global concerns as the impurity in pharmaceuticals. We evaluated the genotoxicity of NDMA in the male C57BL/6J mice. NDMA-induced somatic mutations in the liver tissues were measured using the PECC-Seq analysis, an error-corrected next-generation sequencing approach. The point-of-departure value of induced mutations was then estimated with the quantitatively benchmark dose (BMD) analysis.
