Whole Genome Sequence analysis of Tinospora cordifolia

Tinospora cordifolia is a medicinal plant, which belongs to the family Menispermaceae. Tinospora has about 15 species and is highly used medicinal plant for various diseases in Traditional, Sidhha and Ayurvedic medicines. In ancient Indian medicine (Ayurvedic), it is one of constituent in treatment of general disability, dyspepsia, urinary diseases, gout, jaundice, and rheumatism. It is also used as anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory and a potent immuno-stimulant. Since this plant is extensively known for its medicinal properties there is a need to explore genomic information of this species.
