Dataset of publications used for analysis in "Mapping the (anti-)corruption field: key topics and changing trends, 1968–2020"

Dataset of (anti-)corruption-related publications extracted from the Global Anti-Corruption Bibliography (GAB) as of its February 2020 update. The dataset was curated by Joseph Pozsgai-Alvarez (Osaka University) and initially comprised 8,042 entries, including edited volumes, monographs, book chapters, journal articles, conference papers, peer-reviewed publications, and technical reports. Abstracts were retrieved from digital libraries and institutional repositories; in cases where standard abstracts were unavailable—particularly for book chapters and technical reports—relevant summary sections were manually extracted when accessible and suitable. All entries were subsequently reviewed to correct errors from the automated extraction process. After removing duplicates and filtering for records with complete metadata—specifically, author name, title, publication year, and abstract—the final dataset includes 5,417 publications released between 1968 and January 2020.
