National Register of Localities and Streets

This register constitutes the **official reference** for Luxembourg addresses. The register **contains** — official names for entities: canton, commune, locality, street — building numbers on a street — the postal code for streets and buildings The register ** does not contain**: — geographical coordinates of addresses — locality and/or street names in different languages — designations of neighbourhoods **_Legislation and competences:_** The register is managed by the cadastre and topography administration on the basis of Article 2(g) of the Law of 25 July 2002 on the reorganisation of the land registry and topography administration. The municipal authorities are required to communicate official addresses to the register, in accordance with Articles 5(2) and 33(1) of the amended Act of 19 June 2013 on the identification of natural persons. The completeness of the data cannot be guaranteed.
