The Starlink Robot Dataset was developed by research teams from University College London and the University of Cambridge, with the objective of studying the performance of satellite communications in mobile devices. Comprising various types of sensor data including Starlink performance metrics, motion dynamics, sky visibility, and 3D environmental context, the dataset covers diverse scenarios such as steady motion, varying speeds, and different occlusion conditions. These data can assist researchers in developing motion-aware communication protocols, predicting connection interruptions, and optimizing satellite communications, thus providing support for emerging mobile applications ranging from smartphones to autonomous vehicles. The dataset is available in ROS bag and CSV formats for analysis, and is provided with data preprocessing tools and documentation to facilitate researchers' development and application of relevant research.
