The original research data acquired in support of the publication entitled "On the mechanism of carbide network oxidation and subsequent passivation interference in a high carbon-containing cobalt-based superalloy". The data is available as a .zip file containing directories of the following data: * Diffusion and carbide attack data depth data. These are provided as Excel spreadsheets. These include the data obtained from the micrographs as well as the supporting calculations. * Paper figures. These are provided as png and pdf files. * SEM and EDX images. These are the original images acquired from the electron microscopes. * TGA data. These are the txt files that were obtained from the Setaram Setsys Evolution TGA used in this study. * Vapour pressure species data. These are provided as Excel spreadsheets and include the data used in the analysis of the vapour pressures quoted in this study. * XRD data. These are two column .xy text files.
