Gravity acceleration at the Earth’s surface, i.e. deviation of the predicted gravity value from the reference value 981000 mGal (9.81 m/s²). Approximated, the value corresponds to the relative deviation of a scale in ppm (millionths), i.e. on Sylt (grid value approx. 500 mGal), a person with a mass of 100 kg on a scale calibrated at 9.81 m/s² is weighed about 50 g heavier than on the chunk (grid value 0 mGal). The up-to-dateness of the data stock (2016) corresponds to that of the quasigeoid model GCG2016. The spatial data set is the basis for the representation of the quasigeoid in WMS severity. For this purpose, the gravity grids were sampled with a resolution of 100 m in UTM32 projection. Documentation and data sources Link!
