NRS-1892 | Minutes of the Problems and Needs Committee which were sighted by the Royal Commission into New South Wales Prisons

These Committees were established to handle prisoner grievances. Most were established in the period 1972-74. They usually consisted of six prisoners and one or two departmental officers. The Minute Papers of the Cessnock Corrective Centre (5/4229.1) contain a statement on the policy, aims, representation, duration and procedures of the Committees.(5/4225-4229.10, 5/4230). 6 vols, 3 bundles.
