资源简介:
Samples recovered from the Geneva Road Burial site (42UT1222) in Provo, Utah, were
examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site consists of a shallow, slightly bell-shaped
pit that contained a single set of juvenile human remains. Radiocarbon analysis of bone from the
burial yielded a conventional radiocarbon age of 1180 ± 40 BP, with a two sigma calibrated age
range of A.D. 770 to 970. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to aid in determining the
cultural affiliation and seasonality of the burial.
