Pseudomonas sp. HS-18 Genome sequencing. Pseudomonas sp. HS-18

The quorum quenching bacterium, Pseudomonas sp. strain HS-18, was isolated from oil-contaminated soil sample in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. Diffusible signal factor (DSF) represents a family of widely conserved quorum sensing signals involved in the regulation of virulence factor production in many Gram-negative bacterial pathogens. Strain HS-18 with unavailable genome was identified to contain multiple genes with a superb DSF degradation activity, namely digA, digB, digC and digD. Available genome resource of strain HS-18 will contribute to further illuminate the genetic mode of action of DSF quorum quenching and unveil more quorum quenching basises of strain HS-18.
