Data Accompanying "Spatial Extremes at Scale: A Case Study of Surface Skin Temperature and Heat Risk in the United States"

This dataset contains processed seasonal block maxima of surface skin temperature derived from the North American Land Data Assimilation System (NLDAS) Phase 2 over the Four Corners region of the United States. The repository includes spatial coordinates, scaled coordinates for model fitting, and seasonal copula-scale observations for winter (DJF), spring (MAM), summer (JJA), and fall (SON) over a 46-year period. Held-out test locations are also provided for out-of-sample validation. These data support the analyses in the accompanying manuscript "Spatial Extremes at Scale: A Case Study of Surface Skin Temperature and Heat Risk in the United States."
