Climate data rescue 5 : Annuaire statistique de l'Indochine (ASI)

Contents of the ASI The Annuaire statistique de l'Indochine is a general yearbook that does not focus solely on meteorological and climatic data. It was published between 1927 and 1948. As it’s a continuation of Henri Brenier's Atlas statistique de l'Indochine, published in 1914, the last year of which was 1912, the ASI tried to fill the gap by publishing statistics from 1913 onwards and sometimes by starting earlier, as in the case of meteorology. The Yearbook is generally organized into 15 chapters as follows: Climatology Territory and people Education Health Justice and prisons Agriculture, livestock and forestry Industry Means of transport and communication Money, banking Trade Property and income Consumption Military and administrative personnel Public finance Territory of Kouang Tchéou Wan Contents of the dataset This dataset compiles all the pages of chapter 1 devoted to climatology of the 12 volumes of the yearbook. These data proceed from observations done in the stations in the Indochina Meteorological Service network, analysed and corrected by the Central Office of the Central Observatory at Phu Lien near Haiphong.
