4D Flow MRI acquisitions and derived conduit and reservoir
metrics in the aorta of 16 children. 10 of them with hypoplastic left heart
syndrome (HLHS) at 2.5 years. Supporting
data for the study titled "Unlocking the non-invasive assessment of
conduit and reservoir function in the aorta" published in Journal of
Cardiovascular Translational Research (https://doi.org/10.1007/s12265-022-10221-4).
Each dataset is comprised of:
1. Flow field reconstructed
from MRI data
2. Analysis of the reservoir
function along the aorta by Young’s module estimated from pulse wave velocity
3. Analysis of the conduit
function along the aorta by advective pressure drop
4. Intermediate analysis
results, such as segmentation of the lumen domain and the centerline of the vessel
Tools: results generated by
means of the Pressure Mapping code developed by the Cardiac Modelling and
Imaging Biomarkers group at King’s College London (http://cmib.website/) and
available on GitHub on request.
