We harmonized six wildfire datasets to create a US-wide spatial dataset of wildfire burn zone disasters. Our criteria for wildfire burn zone disasters was a wildfire that burned near a community and resulted in >= 1 civilian fatality, >= 1 destroyed structure, or federal disaster relief. We identified 6,659 wildfire burn zone disasters between 2000 to present. The annual number of wildfire burn zone disasters fluctuated between 27 in 1999 and 457 in 2007 (median = 252). This is a large-scale dataset of wildfire disasters that covers the entire US from 2000 to present.
