The complete mitochondrial genome of Metapenaeus intermedius

The goal of this project is to generate full mitochondrial genomes from across the Metapenaeus intermedius. Through these generated mitogenomes the project aims to better understand intraspecific genetic diversity within Metapenaeus intermedius, especially interesting from a conservation perspective. We also will analyse a large dataset of samples from across the Metapenaeus intermedius species complex range, to better understand (proposed) taxonomy, biogeography among others.
