GeolDG: Maritime use of the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) (WMS)

The dataset includes the status of selected areas and regions published by the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) from the BSH's Area Development Plan 2023 and Spatial Development Plan EEZ, as well as point data on industrial production facilities from the Continental Shelf Information System within the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). In addition, maritime boundaries have been derived from the Maritime Boundaries Geodatabase of the Flanders Marine Institute. These maritime boundaries include the boundaries of the EEZ and the 12-nautical-mile zone (12M) of Germany and some bordering states of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Furthermore, zones for offshore wind farms, oil and gas rigs, Natura 2000 areas and shipping routes in the German EEZ are included. These data were provided as background information for data from geological investigations, which are available to the BGR in accordance with the Geological Data Act (GeolDG).
