Bro – GeoTOP (GTM) as-is

The GeoTOP model gives a detailed three-dimensional image of the Dutch subsurface to a depth about 50 meters below ground level. The model is actually the top of DGM and REGIS-II models and covers the part of the soil that we use most intensively. GeoTOP forms the basis for answering questions in the field of the spatial planning of the subsoil, the shallow mineral extraction and groundwater. The model contributes to the gain insight into the geological development of the Netherlands and forms the foundation for hydrogeological, geotechnical and geo-archaeological applications and for other geo-scientific applications it’s an investigation.
