This dataset supports the systematic review article "Geophysical Methods for Geothermal Exploration in Mining Areas: A Systematic Review", which synthesises evidence from seven empirical studies on the application of geophysical methods for geothermal exploration across mining areas in seven countries, including the United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain, China (Tibet), as well as multi-country sites in Hawaii (USA), Germany, and Turkey. The dataset includes the PRISMA 2020 checklist, PRISMA flow diagram, criteria for inclusion and exclusion of studies (Table 1), databases and last search dates (Table 2), risk of bias assessment raw data adapted from the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) for the seven included studies (Table 3), summary characteristics of the seven included studies (Table 4), distribution of geophysical methods (Table 5), exploration parameters obtained per method (Table 6), synthesis matrix of methods versus outcomes (Figure 3), and the data extraction form. All files are available under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0 1.0) license.
