Neuroinflammation contributes substantially to stroke pathophysiology. This study investages the transcriptome of human peripheral blood monocytes from individuals with acute ischemic stroke. Overall design: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from the intravascular compartment of the ischemic hemisphere were compared to systemic arterial controls from ischemic stroke patients and analyzed using scRNAseq. Furthermore cells were incubated with TotalSeq-C Human Universal Cocktail (Biolegend #399905) according to the manufacturers instructions.
