资源简介:
The Fort A.P. Hill Cultural Resource Manager, under the Environmental Division of the Directorate of Public Works within Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, has completed Phase I archaeological survey in association with the construction of a new administrative building for American Water at Fort A.P. Hill, Caroline County, Virginia. The project includes lot leveling and grubbing and the construction of an office/garage building. The area of potential effect for the undertaking includes 0.5 hectares (1.3 acres) of land along Peuman Road.
The objective of the archaeological survey was to identify any historic properties that may be located within the APE and evaluate the potential eligibility of any such resources for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. Although one isolated artifact location was identified, no additional artifacts or archaeological sites, intact cultural features, or intact cultural deposits were identified in the APE during the survey.
