Land Parcel Identification System (Blok/GERK)

The Land Parcel Identification System in Slovenia is established for the implementation of agricultural policy measures. The system is included in the Register of Agricultural Holdings (RKG) as a graphic upgrade of the list of areas of one agricultural holding (KMG). The basic unit of the identification system for the declaration of agricultural land in the RKG is the block. The block is a condensed area of agricultural land under agricultural use of one holding (exceptions are defined in the legislation). Graphical agricultural parcel (GERK) is a condensed area of agricultural land with the same type of actual use within a single block. Farmers declare their land in the form of GERK. LPIS data are available at GERK level with attribute block data. The public viewer provides up-to-date data for all GERKs in Slovenia, and data from the last aggregated application are available for download and via WMS.
