Measurement data of narcissism, status motivation, and prosocial risk-taking behavior among college students from a university

This study consists of two complementary sub-studies. Study 1 employed a cross-sectional questionnaire survey design, recruiting 708 college students from universities in Shanxi and Anhui provinces to measure narcissism, status motivation, and prosocial risk-taking behavior. Pearson correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and Bootstrap mediation tests were used to analyze the structural relationships among the variables. Study 2 adopted a longitudinal follow-up design, conducting three waves of surveys over six months among college students at a university in Shanxi Province. Using the same scales as Study 1, cross-lagged analysis was performed to examine causal relationships among the variables from a dynamic perspective.
