Colletotrichum tofieldiae 0861 genome sequencing and assembly

In this study we sequenced the genome of the plant growth promoting C. tofieldiae strain 0861, a root endophyte isolated from natural populations of Arabidopsis thaliana in Spain. Through subsequent genome and transcriptome comparisons of different C. tofieldiae strains with a closely related pathogenic Colletotrichum species, we were searching for genomic signatures associated with the two different lifestyles (mutualistic vs. pathogenic) and investigating their evolutionary relationship.
