In this study, two new mixed-ligand coordination polymers (CPs) {[Cd<sub>6</sub>(nbta)<sub>3</sub>(bimb)<sub>4</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)](H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>3</sub>}<sub>n</sub> (<b>1</b>, bimb = 4,4′-bis((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)−1,1′-biphenyl) and [Co<sub>3</sub>(bib)<sub>2</sub>(nbta)<sub>2</sub>]<sub>n</sub> (<b>2</b>, bib = 1,4-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)−2-butene) have been successfully prepared by reaction of 5-nitro-1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid (H<sub>3</sub>nbta) with different N-donor ligands under the solvothermal conditions. The as-prepared two CPs have been studied via the elemental analysis along with the single crystal X-ray diffraction. The inhibitory effect of synthesized new mixed-ligand coordination polymers on K562 leukemia cells was evaluated by CCK-8 assay. And the percentage of apoptotic cells after CPs <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> treatment was assessed by Annexin V-FITC/PI assay. Finally the <i>in vivo</i> effect of CPs on tumor was conducted by tumor volume and mice weight measurement.
