Genetic diversity of the tsetse fly microbiome: Implication in new strategies to control Trypanosomiasis

The modification of tsetse fly microbiota appears as a new tool to limit the transmission of trypanosomes. This project aims to study the microbiome harbored by tsetse fly (Glossina palpalis palpalis (GPP) collected in Campo in Southern Cameroon), their association with trypanosome establishment and their potential role in fly’s fitness during the vector control.
