Absence of DNA replication signal in DNA-Seq from sperm nuclei

During fertilization, sperm and egg cells must synchronize their cell cycle stages. Previous research has suggested that in A. thaliana, sperm cells arrest during S-phase and complete DNA replication during pollination. In this study, we used genome-wide DNA sequencing to examine the DNA replication state of sperm nuclei. Our data did not show any evidence of DNA replication in these nuclei
