Wineries require a significant energy demand for cooling interior spaces. As a result, designing energy-efficient winery buildings has become a critical concern for winemaking countries. The objective of this study was to evaluate six winery building models with bioclimatic designs, located in the Guadalupe Valley, Baja California, using data on thermal performance (indoor temperature and relative humidity) and energy consumption (kWh and degree-hours) obtained through dynamic thermal simulation. A baseline winery building model was developed and then enhanced with bioclimatic strategies.
