The genome sequences of Rhodotorula babjevae strains CBS 7808 and DBVPG 8058 were obtained using a hybrid assembly from short and long reads, generated by Illumina and Nanopore, respectively. The mitochondrial genome was recovered in a single contig. Protein coding genes and associated transcripts were annotated.
