资源简介:
This compendium includes data sources that are used or could be used to inform public health preparedness and response (PHPR), specific to five activities: 1. tracking hazards 2. tracking health outcomes 3. tracking population characteristics 4. tracking facility capacity and 5. compiling essential elements of information (EEI) or minimum datasets. Each of these tasks involves at least one decision or set of decisions that PHPR staff encounter during emergencies (e.g., deciding which communities to target for vaccination campaigns). We conducted an environmental scan to identify the information and data sources that state, Tribal, local, and Territorial (STLT) partners have used to support timely decision-making across common activities. We considered 10 common hazards that HHS Region 10 encounters (drought, earthquake, flood, hazardous materials, heat, infectious disease, landslide, tsunami, volcano, wildfire). Once we concluded our environmental scan, we sent a draft list of PHPR data sources to a regional Community of Practice, constituted of local, state, and regional partners, to review and suggest additional data and information sources. A full technical report detailing how these data sources may inform future regional data planning is available upon request.
