Connection of As-DOM-Microbe in Paddy fields

In this study, we investigated soil As forms, As biotransformation, DOM molecular composition, and bacterial community in two paddy fields. The two paddy fields have similar climate and geographical conditions but different levels of soil As contamination. The differences of As forms between the two paddy fields were analyzed from the DOM chemo-diversity, microbial process. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to comprehensively explore DOM composition differences of paddy fields with different levels of As contamination at the molecular level. The results of this study provide unique information to understand paddy fields and will help evaluate and improve the As biotransformation of paddy fields, especially in the periphyton.
