This data records the total number of devices and the number of devices staying at home all day for all counties in North Carolina since January 1, 2020. The data is obtained from Safegraph. The correlation between the Census population of each county and number of devices residing in the same county is about 0.97, suggesting the data is well-sampled at the county level. However, the representativeness of populations within each county is unknown. The data is updated daily and contains daily information since January 1, 2020 for all counties in North Carolina.
