Transcriptome of silk gland of the silkworm

Rearing silkworms with artificial diet or mulberry leaves during all instars. And at day 3 of the fifth instar, silk glands were dissected from the silkworm for transcriptome sequencing. To set the stage for breeding species of silkworms with high silk output that are raised on artificial diets during all instars.
