Sequencing the male coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) genome

This project was developed to compliment the existing coho genome assembly (BioProject: PRJNA352719), and to add male-specific sequence. We sequenced the genome of a male coho salmon using the Oxford Nanopore Technology sequencing platform to generate long reads. These sequences were assembled and then polished with Illumina short-reads. This polished assembly was then scaffolded with HiC data.
