Perceived wealth status, risk preferences and time preferences. Do perceptions relate to preference attitudes? The study explores the relationship between time preferences, risk preferences and perceived wealth status (PWS) of university students. Time preferences and risk preferences were elicited by way of multiple price list (MPL) tasks completed by 192 university students (female=53%). The subjects also ranked their household PWS on a six Likert scale ladder that ranged from ‘poorest’ to ‘richest’.
