资源简介:
Hevea brasiliensis has contribute a major share to the agricultural economy of Malaysia. In the current scenario, Malaysia is the world's fourth biggest producer after Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. The increasing of natural rubber production is necessary to maintain high demand of rubber products. The major problem concerning the rubber industry is lack of chromosome/genome level information to support quality breeding programs for enhancing agronomic traits of commercial importance. A clear understanding regarding the molecular mechanisms of the clones is still unknown. Hevea being a perennial tree propagated by vegetative means, the major hurdle is the absence of a quality diagnostic tool to screen the mother clones and propagules to ensure their purity and performance in plantations. We carried out transcriptome dataset analysis to uncover the complexity of biological functions in H. brasiliensis by studying isoform abundance, gene expression, gene regulation, SNP and SSR analysis (biomarkers) as well as identification of new transcripts leading to pathway discovery. In this study, we use RNA-Seq as tool for understanding the biological processes in Hevea governing agronomic traits like latex yield and identification of all isoforms across the germplasm including the SNPs and SSRs.
