Dataset of "Electrodeposition as an attractive method of NiCoP cathode catalyst for alkaline membrane water electrolysis production"

NiCoP catalyst is prepared by electrochemical deposition on the Ni substrate. The effect of the deposition solution composition is investigated and thorough optimisation of the prepared catalyst performed. The properties of the of the synthetized material are investigated by SEM-EDS, TEM, XPS, BET, linear sweep voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The technique of the electrochemical doposition is used to prepare catalyst layer on the Ni foam substrate. Performance of the prepared electrode is verfied under the conditions of the alkaline water electrolysis. Results show that optimized NiCoP catalyst can achived Platinum like activity for hydrogen evolution reaction under alkaline conditions.
