City Lists Action Heart of the City

Launched in March 2018, Action Cœur de Ville is a priority government policy designed to support the development of medium-sized cities, metropolises and overseas, which perform a central function for their entire territory. Action Cœur de Ville is based on a massive investment aimed primarily at the revitalisation of city centres, with three national partners alongside the State: the Bank of Territories, Action Housing and the National Agency of Habitat. The programme, extended to 2026, pursues a threefold ambition: — Accompany projects under the initial themes: housing rehabilitation in the city centre, economic and commercial development, accessibility/mobility, enhancement of public space and heritage, access to public facilities and services; — Making the green transition a common thread for the period 2023-2026 and accompanying LCA cities to also address the challenges of the demographic and economic transitions they face; — Expand the programme by extending it to the treatment of station districts and city and agglomeration entrances to push back the “poor France” and promote coherent urban development.
