Production of fuel in Germany in 2020, by type

Germany produced a total of 46.5 million metric tons of oil equivalent of renewable fuels and biofuels in 2020. Although it was not the main source of primary energy consumption in Germany, renewable energy was the highest of all in terms of fuel production. It took the spot from solid fuels, who tallied at 23.4 million metric tons of oil equivalent in the same year.
