Experimental dataset for peppermint: GC-MS and statistical analysis results

This dataset presents the comprehensive metabolic profiling of Mentha piperita (Peppermint) in response to salinity stress, specifically focusing on the ameliorative effects of cinnamic acid-based nanocomposites. The study aims to elucidate how these nanocomposites modulate the secondary metabolite pathways of peppermint under adverse salt conditions. Study Context and Methodology The experiments were conducted to investigate the physiological and biochemical changes in peppermint plants. Plants were subjected to salinity stress (0, 50, 100, and,150 mM NaCl) and treated with 50 µM concentrations of cinnamic acid and its nanocomposite. The secondary metabolites (including essential oil components and phenolic compounds) were extracted using hydrodistillation] and analyzed via GC-MS.
