Side-scan sonar dataset of Area B1, Hainan Island. The dataset covers the period from 2007 to 2008, targeting sea areas deeper than 5 meters near the west coast of Hainan Island, with a total coverage area of 5219.43 square kilometers, a total survey line length of 1447.33 kilometers, and a scale of 1:100,000. This dataset is divided into two cruises: the first cruise (2007) and the second cruise (2008). The side-scan sonar data from the first cruise was collected using the EdgeTech 2000C combined side-scan and sub-bottom profiler system, with measurement parameters determined based on on-site detection conditions; the side-scan sonar data from the second cruise was collected using the EdgeTech 4100P shallow-water side-scan sonar, and its measurement parameters were also determined based on actual on-site detection situations.
