Atrazine (ATZ) as an herbicide used to increase crop productivity can also have harmful effects in the environment. Poly(epsilon-caprolactone) (PCL) nano-capsules have been recently developed as a modified release system for atrazine. Research has been focused on the impact of nano-pesticide on plant performance, while little attention is paid regarding the soil microbes that playing important roles in atrazine degradation. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of nano-pesticide on the plant-associated rhizosphere microbial community. PCL nano-capsuled atrazine (NPATZ) was synthesized and characterized.
