A classification of ecological continuity corresponds to all or part of a course or a channel identifies in a decision taken by the coordinating prefect of the basin in application of Article L.214-17 of the Environmental Code.The classification in list 1 (1° of Article 1(1) of Article L. 214-17 of the Environmental Code) is intended to protect certain rivers from degradation and allows to display a long-term preservation objective.
