VPRS 10700 Gold Buyers Registers

Under the Gold Buyers Act 1907 a register of judgments on applications was to be maintained by the Court of petty Sessions. Information contained in the register included:the date of the hearing;the name, occupation and address of the applicant;the particulars of the application including the nature (new or for a renewal of a licence), the district in which the licence was available and the situation of the tenement where the licence would be exercised;details of the dates of publication of statutory notices;the name, residence, occupation and municipality of ratepayers certifying the character of the applicant;the police officer certifying the applicant, the justice ruling on the application, the decision and any remarks.Subject to further research.
