Whole genome sequencing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolated from TB cases in a prefecture of Japan. Mycobacterium tuberculosis

The latest studies suggested that TB has co-evolved with human beings and that there are endemic strains among M tuberculosis isolates. Therefore, understanding features of drug resistance, and relationships among TB isolates is crucial for control of TB. In this study, we analyzed Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains isolated from TB cases in a prefecture of Japan using whole genome sequence data.
